It's really been sweet and reassuring.
He is slowly getting used to the grocery store. His produce picking skillz are gradually improving.
But I lol. Nigel loves cheeses and I asked him to pick up two from the gourmet cheese counter at Whole Foods yesterday. He comes home with a block of cheddar (the last block of cheddar that he insisted I buy for him went moldy in the fridge) and a wedge of locatelli pecorino romano.
I'm like, this is what gets grated onto spaghetti. He's like, but it smelled so good!!
To be fair you can eat it in pieces but I was thinking a nice brie or something, lol.
He bought a watermelon last week that collapsed like the turkey in National Lampoon Christmas Vacation when I cut into it.

hahaha he also lost his cart when he abandoned it for too long, someone took it up front and people had started restocking the contents so he had to figure out what was missing.
Poor Nigel.
He bought NY Strips yesterday and if the butcher fucked him I'm gonna be so mad.

I literally loled at this. Poor guy. I am glad he is trying. How much longer until you are up and moving more freely?
lol - at his skillz (but good improvements!), wandering brittishly, and the cart restocked. omg, the last one killed me.
This must be very hard for you - did you instruct him on proper yogurt and dairy product location and date selection? Once in awhile I"m in a hurry and almost grab the yogurt in front and then I think of you and grab one further back in the cold. (I used to do this anyway, but now it always reminds me of you. fondly of course)

knowing your husband, and how much that man relies on you, i am both touched by his efforts for you and laughing at the thought of him making cheese choices at whole foods.
