Just wondering if anyone had weight loss surgery before TTC. What kind, how long before you TTC afterwords. I know sometimes they reverse it before... just curious as I'm exploring my options. THanks!

Most bariatric surgeons will insist that you use 2 forms of birth control for at least 18 months after surgery. TTC/getting pregnant too quickly may negate the long-term benefits of WLS. You have to give your body a chance to re-learn what "normal" is (normal eating, normal weight maintenance, normal cravings, etc) before you go fuck it up with pregnancy and all its side-effects.
I have no idea what you mean about "reversing it" before. The Lap Band is the only one that can be "reversed" in any capacity.
Ive been trying to handle my issues with my pcos and insulin resistance...and my gyno was like " just get gastric bypass" you are getting older and dont have any children passed 40....
I felt like shiit....she didnt really offer me any other solutions...
Ugh....
I have heard that women get pregnant very quickly after wls...but its not safe due to all of the metabolic/absorption changes occuring in the stomach....

Someone very close to me underwent bariatric surgery. Don't take it lightly. They nearly died. I was the main caretaker and the recovery for her was very difficult. I don't mean to scare you; only I wish you to understand the risk involved. I think its becoming the cureall for weight issues.
