I got fitted for good running shoes when I started C25K, and am still a big fan (Brooks somethingorother). I have since branched out to other exercise, including spinning, strength classes, pilates, etc. etc.
I feel like I'm the only one in my spin class who doesn't have those fancy cycling shoes, but as I only do the class 1x / week, I don't know that it's worth the investment. I am considering getting a pair of stiffer, generic "cross training" shoes for that class and my weight training, however. Any recommendations? If it helps, I've got big (sz 10), wide, flat-ish feet.
I would definitely get another pair for non-running stuff. I used to have and loved, loved Ryka brand for crosstraining. I believe they specialize in women's shoes, or used to, and the fit was great. We have similar feet (I'm size 10, but 11 in running shoes).
