Med Prices

Hi everyone,

I got a letter from my insurance company the other day that due to the new healthcare laws, they have to cover oral anti-cancer meds at the same rate they would cover IV meds. I guess Imuran still counts as anti-cancer even though I'm taking it for Crohn's. Anyway, they refunded me my last three co-pays. And when I went to pick up another dose last night, it was free! Just wanted to make you guys aware.

I hope my copay goes to $0 too. The $25 copay isn't a lot, but it kind of is, especially combined with all the other meds and never ending tests to monitor it. I did like that midyear last year my birth control became free. *fingers crossed*

now if only this could happen with remicade... lol.

Interesting...I just refilled my Imuran script yesterday, and my insurance has yet to say anything. As mentioned, free would be better than $25.

I don't think the Lialda I take counts. My co-pay is $100 for a 3-month supply.

My immuran went down to $10.
