What are your Independence Day Plans?

My husband is going to Lake Tahoe.

I might go to the "Birth Place of America" just to spite him. (But then I think of all of the people in Philly and the subway and I get scared)

What are all of you doing?

Sailing (I think), beach picnic afterward, fireworks. Basically, the same thing I do every weekend The only difference is this is a bigger fireworks show than the regular Friday night one.

My husband is going to Fort Bragg( the California one ) for a thing his family has done since he was a kid. I can't get time off for the end of the week in order to go with him so I'm going with my Dad and his GF to her son's house.

And I'm super PO'ed because now all my friends have bailed for the weekend. They were the ones that picked this weekend and now all have other plans So I'm super sad.

Pink... I have a BFF in L.A. who I haven't seen since 2005, because she moved so far. I've tried to call to tell her that I will finally be in CA for a couple of weeks and I would love to go down and meet her... and nothing. I haven't heard back from her at all.

All of that to say... it sucks, I know how you feel.

We're having a friend and here son over for lunch, then one of H's classmates is having a BBQ in the evening.

We are also going to a BBQ inland (but not with Stan ) which is also in a county that allows fireworks. Pretty excited since I haven't shot fireworks in 3 years so I hope O doesn't freak out.

Nothing! And it's my 2nd favorite so this makes me sad. DH has to work because of all these wicked storms. And it's supposed to storm tomorrow too. So my little town isn't doing fireworks until Friday. Stinks!

Working until 4, then headed over to the IL's for a BBQ/swim time.

It's already the 4th here and so far we've only gone to the gym. For a late lunch we're going to go to a taco place we've heard a lot about, because what says America like Korean-Mexican fusion tacos?! Tonight we will try to watch the fireworks on base. Hopefully we will be out of this hotel by the weekend!
