Wonderful idea. Our hearts are broken for her and it would be a great way to continue the support over the next few months when it must get harder and most IRL support probably fades away.
Absolutely. I believe I will be traveling then but I'll participate in whatever way I can.
ETA: I just wanted to say @vtcupcake, I love you so much for coming up with this although now that you have it seems like the obvious thing for us to do.

Yes, I'm definitely in. I can't promise the full mileage (I'm running a quarter marathon on May 3), but I will go as far as I can for her. I don't care about prizes, not that I would win one, but would donate one for the cause.
I was going to suggest we run 3.5 miles on 3 / 5 (3rd of May) but then realised that Americans do the date the other way around. Happy to run 3.5 on 5th of March though.

This would be great. Actually I cried durning my race this am thinking Of Pixy and how excited she was to be running a half. It broke my heart. I ran for her this morning. This would be great. 3.5 is wonderful! Running for Pixy sounds like a great way to honor her daughter!

I think we can do this too, but I want this to be as much for pixy too. She had just signed up for her first half, on May 4th. This also gives those on other boards who have already expressed interest but have minimal experience to do something like c25k to participate.
Yep, completely agree with you.
Also, I think 3.5 miles is achievable for most people, even if walked. It doesn't really matter what time people do, after all.
This is a really amazing idea that you have come up with. Bless you.
