I was fitted for shoes at a running store in October. The longest I ran with them up until last week was 6 miles and my feet were burning slightly. I attempted to do 10 this past Sunday and when I hit 5 my feet were on fire. I made it to 7 but here we are on Tuesday and my feet are still burning. The good thing is I no longer get shin splints.
I am going to go back to the running store to have them look at everything but in the meantime, I am wondering if it is related to my socks. Both times I ran more than 3 miles I had UA running socks on.
Could it be my socks? I'm so confused with this whole long distance running thing. I used to be a 3 miler.

I've had good luck switching to a cycling sock instead of a running sock. Not sure if there's actually a difference, but the way the toes are designed seems more comfortable.
I also like wrightsocks - they have two layers and guarantee no chafing/blisters.
I really like feetures. They have a decent amount of arch support, which I never realized I loved until I tried. Now if I wear cheapo socks when I run, I feel like my feet are swimming around in a sweaty cotton garbage sack (gross).
