The Somatotype categorization is the theory that bodies can be classified as one of three types, as follows:
Ectomorphic: characterized by long and thin muscles/limbs and low fat storage; usually referred to as slim. Ectomorphs are not predisposed to store fat nor build muscle.
Mesomorphic: characterized by medium bones, solid torso, low fat levels and a narrow waist; usually referred to as muscular. Mesomorphs are predisposed to build muscle but not store fat.
Endomorphic: characterized by increased fat storage, a wide waist and shoulders and a large bone structure, usually referred to as fat, or chunky. Endomorphs are predisposed to storing fat.
I agree with the theory.
I think I'm mesomorphic. Although I am carrying some extra weight, it's because I eat a lot of crap food, and I find that I can lose it relatively easily (at least compared to the efforts that other people have to go through). I also seem to put on muscle really well to the point that I find my neck/shoulder area looks too "muscly".
To a point, but many ectomorphs and mesomorphs can still pack on fat if they aren't careful/aware. I am probably an ectomorph, but as I get older I feel like it is easier to gain unwanted pounds if I don't eat reasonably well.

I definitely fit the ectomorph type, but I don't know if that means that these three categories are going to be true across the board for everyone. I want to build more muscle, damn it! But I've also definitely gotten away with less fat that I "deserve" based on eating/exercise at certain points in my life, so I guess I shouldn't complain.
I don't know exactly what you mean by "believe"...I think it's just another method used to categorize body types based on what we observe about them, and it's likely that most people fall somewhere along that spectrum given that it's pretty broad. I don't see it as being particularly useful.
I guess I can agree with the types at a general level. I am ectomorphic...my limbs are long and "lean" and I would never be able to put on muscle in that clearly defined way that those with a more muscular figure can.
That being said, I can still pack on fat ::stares at the rolls on my stomach::
For the most part, yes. I'd say I'm more of an ectomorph. I have never truly struggled with my weight but I also have difficulty putting on muscle. That said, its also not like 'poor me I'm too skinny and can't gain weight', I definitely still need to watch it!
