I could really use some hair pats today. I went to the doctor for the last time today with my broken foot. Good news: I can wear real shoes and can go back to pretty much all physical activity. Bad news: all physical activity except for running, for 2 more months! I know its good that I can finally do more than upper body weights and pool running, but I really really miss running. I want to do the Tinkerbell half in spring 2015, and I'm worried that I'll be starting from scratch and won't be ready for it. I know y'all warned me when I first broke it that it could be a long time, but he had promised a month ago that it would only be 6 more weeks.

Aww, *hair pats* sorry to hear you can't run yet. But you are healing and making progress! You'll have plenty of time to get ready for a Spring of 2015 half.
lots of hair pats and ((((hugs))). I'm injured and can only run minamally right now so I can see just how frustrating not being able to run at all would be:(
I'm sorry I've really started to enjoy spin. Getting the right instructor makes a huge difference. Who knows, maybe you'll find something new you like as much as running. In the meantime, sulking and chocolate is okay too.

Ugh, I'm sorry. I know you were excited to get back to running, so I will happily pat your hair and listen to you whine. But I will also say that you can totally get back into training for a half with a year to go. You have plenty of time!

I'm sorry. I hope you find spinning to be interesting for the next 2 months. And think about it, its only 8 weeks and then you can run, or if you workout 3 times a week its only 24 times you have to do something other than running. You have a full year for training after still.

That stinks. Spinning can actually be fun with the right instructor. I think you'll be able to do the 2015 race. You'll have at least a year to prepare.
I'm sorry to hear this. I do think you could be ready for the 2015 half though, especially if you don't put too much pressure on yourself to run a specific time.
Do you have any friends that do workout classes or other activities you could join in with? I'm not too much help because running is also the main exercise I enjoy. Hope you are fully healed soon.
That stinks! Spring 2015 is a LONG ways away - you'll definitely be able to train! I ran a half this past fall after not running for my entire pregnancy. I had 9ish months to train - basically coming back from nothing. I'm not one who cares for time, just for finishing, but I was able to run my first half with less training than you'll have.
