It's supposed to be 4F (feels like -11) during my scheduled 9 miles tomorrow. On top of that, we got 10"+ of snow in the past 24 hours, and my area is not very high on the plow priority list, so the roads are not going to be very safe for running (no sidewalks by my house, and I don't trust cars when there's this much snow). I hear the treadmill calling my name...
It was in the 20's today but lots of snow so I did some on the elliptical and a progression run on the TM - made it 3 miles before my hamstring tightened up. I'm going to try to run outside tomorrow.
I ran 6 yesterday, it was about 25 degrees and no wind. My 10.5 today was brutal. 15 degrees, with wind felt like 7. My face and fingers were cold and my Gatorade/water mixture froze inside my handheld. I still think it's more enjoyable than 10.5 on my gym TM =)
It's actually been really lovely here - 50s. Yesterday I ran 9 miles (I was scheduled for 90 mins. Ran half alone in about 40 mins, and half with friends in the other 50+). Today was planned rest. Friday I didn't get outside - masters + 60 mins on the trainer.
It was 14 I think this morning when I left for my 10 mile run.
It was a mixture of patchy ice, solid ice, compacted snow and just straight out snow. Fun times. It definitely slowed me down, but I did it and it was pretty running through the snowy woods.
