I have a fairly physical job and am curious to see how many calories I burn just working my 8 hours. I was going to put my Garmin on indoor workout mode and see where it leads me.
I thought I remember reading a while back that wearing heart rate monitors for an extended period time isn't accurate and the calorie burn will be off. Does anyone know if this is true? I can't find an article so I don't know if I actually read this is it is something I imagined
Has anyone done this themselves? How were your results? A shock or about what you expected?
How can you get your battery to last that long is what I want to know. I have an older model (110), but it usually drains the battery after about 4-6 hours.

I wore my garmin all day once to track distance. 6 miles! And that was a short day. Not sure how accurate but it was nice to see that I m really moving!
I didn't think the 110 did heart rate based calorie calculations - I thought the 210 offered that as an improvement. If that is true I don't think it'd be worth doing over an 8 hr period.
