I'm doing a half on February 8 (one week from Saturday). My last run was about a week and a half ago, five miles on Monday of last week. I did slightly under 13 miles the day before. I was having some ankle pain last week so I didn't run. The pain seems to have cleared up, but then I had my wisdom teeth out this past Monday, so that continued my no running streak.
To summarize: Jan 19: almost 13 miles Jan 20: 5 miles Jan 21 to Jan 30: no running Jan 31: Feb 7: Feb 8: HM
How far should I run this weekend? I've done several halfs and a couple fulls before (albeit a few years ago) and I'm not trying to PR this race (it's going to be on icy roads, so it's not the type of race you try to PR).
Initially, I'm thinking 8 miles for this weekend, but what do you think?
