Sometimes my job is cool and I'm like making up policy that affects people's lives. Sometimes it's like this:
Subdivision 3 of section 384 of the social services law, the opening paragraph as amended by chapter 185 of the laws of 2006, the fifth undesignated paragraph as added by chapter 680 of the laws of 2007, the sixth undesignated paragraph as added by chapter 76 of the laws of 2010, subparagraphs (i) and (ii) of the sixth undesignated paragraph as amended by chapter 41 of the laws of 2010, is amended to read as follows
What it boils down to is why are people adding so many friggen undesignated paragraphs to a single subdivision of law? Is it so hard to add a new paragraph? Why make my life miserable?!

that's why I am not a lawyer - don't care where and when the law was written or amended so when reading regulations I skip over that whole part you just shared until it see the 'reads as follows:' so I know WTH the rule is.
I made a complete fool out of myself today in front of other attorneys. My boss does not give me all the information I need to do my job properly, and then when I fuck up, it just feeds into his idea that I'm incompetent.
