In one of the 4th of July threads, you mentioned kayaking to your favorite bar on the Delaware. Would you mind sharing where the bar is and where you let in/get out (if that's easy)? That sounds like a fun trip and DH & I and our friends are looking for some different places to go but I don't know that area at all. Thanks!
We go to the restaurant at www.curtinsmarina.com/ It is right next to the municipal boat launch in Burlington, NJ, but we put in our kayak at the municipal boat launch in Florence, NJ (one town up the river). The trip is about 4.5 miles each way. We've also put in at Neshaminy State Park, which is across the river but roughly the same latitude as Burlington. We haven't gone much past that, going south. Our usual trip takes us from the boat launch in Florence up to Crosswicks Creek in Bordentown. The water is pretty calm, but during the weekends there is a lot of motor boat traffic.
