Insoles - how long do they last?

I replace my running shoes every 500ish miles. What about my insoles? They've got about 400 miles on them and I'll be running a half next month - I'll definitely need them. The guy at the running store told me they'd probably last through 2 pairs of shoes, so is that 1000 miles? FWIW, I still feel like I'm getting decent support.

Ive been told two pairs of shoes too, butthe fit is never right for me with a new shoe and old insole, ive gotten really bad blisters on my arches, its bad! So i switch with every new pair of shoes. Im a sucker.

No actual experience with this, but I also have insoles and was also told that they would last through 2-3 pairs of shoes.

Not a sucker. I'm probably one, too. I'm considering just buying the same pair of shoes so that the insoles fit, ha.

I do new insoles every other new pair of shoes.
