Which marathon are you running and when? Boston, 4/21
Any highlights/issues/vents this week? I got in 53 miles and completed all my workouts. Nothing special, but sometimes just getting them done is an accomplishment. Hoping to do another 50ish this week, then 2 weeks of lesser mileage before really getting into gear for a month or so before taper. The weather should be more normal by then. Vent: I got sunburn during my chilly 18 miler this week. Don't forget the sunscreen, folks!
Since it seems we've all had weather issues lately, what's your ideal race weather? What would you wear in your ideal weather? High 50's, overcast but DRY. I love wearing capri's and a tank.
Bonus question--how do you keep away the extra pounds in the taper? I can't stop eating! (and drinking, but that's a different issue I guess) IDK, I've never gained more than a pound or two in the taper, so I don't sweat it. I am upset that I've gained 5 pounds this training cycle though. The cold makes me hungrier, and all the snow days have me stress eating.

Which marathon are you running and when? Albany Marathon - 3/1
Any highlights/issues/vents this week? Vent - the weather!!! I had one run this week that I didn't complete (8 miler turned into a 5) but I did get another 20 miler in on Saturday so that made me feel good. This is my last big week before I start to taper.

Bonus question--how do you keep away the extra pounds in the taper? I can't stop eating! (and drinking, but that's a different issue I guess) This is my first full marathon so I can't answer but I hope I don't gain too many.

Any highlights/issues/vents this week? My last double digit run yesterday and it was a good one. Amazing how just one good run can help my mental state so much!
Since it seems we've all had weather issues lately, what's your ideal race weather? What would you wear in your ideal weather? Steady temps of 45-50, overcast and a slight breeze. Capris and short sleeves, with a light long sleeve layer at the start.

Any highlights/issues/vents this week? I ran 8 miles in 4 degree weather this weekend. That's coldest I've run in, and I felt like such a badass.
Since it seems we've all had weather issues lately, what's your ideal race weather? What would you wear in your ideal weather? I'm torn. I've discovered I can PR in colder weather so much easier, but I LOVE wearing summer gear.
So if I'm trying to PR, I'd say ideal would be 20-40 degrees, with ZERO wind. I've been wearing a long sleeved cold gear shirt, with an infrared zip up hoodie over top. On the bottom, cold gear tights.
But outside of PRing, I love 60-70 degrees and would gladly always run in this weather. I love wearing a tank top and shorts!

I don't eat a lot of huge meals (I'm more of a snacker), so to date I haven't noticed a difference in weight during my taper. But I do love sweets and don't slow down eating them just because of a taper. lol

Which marathon are you running and when? Lake Wobegon Trail 5.10.14 (Don't suppose there is anyone else out there training for this one??)
Any highlights/issues/vents this week? I ran Monday - Friday last week, got in 20 miles, and fully embraced taking the weekend off for my little sisters wedding. Now I just need to re-group with a quality long run this week, which could be challenging because it's our anniversary this wknd. At least May is still a long way off.
Since it seems we've all had weather issues lately, what's your ideal race weather? What would you wear in your ideal weather? Slightly overcast day, 45-60 degrees. A light tailwind, or just a whisper of a breeze if the course is a loop. No blinding, direct sun. Shorts & a tank. Edit: totally agree with low humidity.

(and drinking, but that's a different issue I guess) Usually I manage to stay about the same weight no matter where I'm at with training, so I'm not much help. I don't seems to gain or lose easily. That said, I've been eating like a bear lately so we'll see!

Any highlights/issues/vents? Well I missed my 8 on Wednesday because of Atl snowpocalypse2014 and then only made it through half of my longn run because my shins were killing me, so there's that and y'all know I am freaking out about it....not awesome.

Which marathon are you running and when? I'm currently training for 2 marathons. I am doing LA on March 9 and Fargo on May 10.
Any highlights/issues/vents this week? My long run didn't go as fantastic as I wanted. I am in the back off week, so only 10 miles, but just wasn't feeling it.
Since it seems we've all had weather issues lately, what's your ideal race weather? What would you wear in your ideal weather? I love a bit overcast (it can get sunny toward the end) and in the mid-50s. I would do shorts, short sleeve tech t, running hat.

(and drinking, but that's a different issue I guess) I go walking; doesn't earn me too many extra caloriers to eat, but better than nothing. I know it is still using my legs, but I just go walk my roommate's dog or go on an easier hike. Or cross country skiing.
