The good: The Seahawks won their first ever Super Bowl!!!
The bad: E's anxiety about falling asleep alone is not yet decreasing.
The ugly: E got sick Friday morning around 12:30a in my new bed/bedding on the floor, etc. Thankful for a carpet cleaner and a waterproof mattress pad.
things are pretty status quo. The kids are doing well, Gray is really enjoying being in the school play, we are planning our spring break to the IL's house (nice to get away, but not the most exciting place...), L is doing a weight loss program and has lost 16 lbs in 4 weeks and is thrilled, my work has been crazy busy and keeping me hopping, and I am tired of winter and would like some nice sunshine and some warm temps so we can get outside!
The good: Micah on;y woke up 6 times last night, which is a lot less than his typical 10-12. I actually feel rested LOL.
The bad: I neglected my boys all morning so I could clean and organize and now that they are napping, I'm sitting at the computer, eating ice cream.
The ugly: I brought my car in for an oil change and found out I may need a new transmission! YAY!! There's no way in f*ck I'm putting that money into my car. We find out tomorrow if it is the transmission, I have 24 hours to prepare myself for a car free existence. We've been kicking ass with our finances lately, I'm not buying a new car while we are doing so well.
TT my birthday is this weekend, too! Let's ditch our wives and kids and go out for drinks

The good: Things have been REALLY awesome with C lately.
The bad: Work is still bumming me out and making me anxious.
The ugly: I'm not sure my energy level will ever recover from this most recent bout of depression. I'm so tired by the afternoon and evening that it's just a slog until I get to sleep again. And I can only have very limited caffeine.
Trying to keep these babies inside. Diagnosed with pregnancy induced hypertension and have had some very stressful monitoring appointments where the triage staff threatened to hospitalize me and my doctor talked them down and told me to go home. Taking medication and praying for at least a few more weeks. Growth issue seems to have resolved itself. Was having contractions on monitor last night, but doctor thinks that's normal since my cervix is fine.
The winter weather won't stop. I worked half days from home Monday and today because I couldn't handle going out in the snow. I'm terrified to get in an accident and end up hospitalized again.
We were supposed to pick up our new car Monday night but canceled due to the weather, rescheduled for last night and then I got stuck at the doctor for 4 hours and we couldn't go, rescheduled in a rush for Friday night but now realize that we don't want to miss the Olympics opening ceremony and are trying to reschedule again. The car dealer must think we're insane and don't really want this brand new car we bought.
DW just realized that one of our credit cards has been used fraudulently several times over the last few days, so she's dealing with that.
Nursery closet is nearly done. Cribs are made. We have most of the big things we need, except a few we're waiting on completion discounts to get and figure we could order online during a NICU stay or early babyhood if necessary.
My laptop gets really hot and makes my fingers swell.
Lots on my mind, as you can tell...and not much of it all relates to the job that I'm getting paid to do and not doing very often. I hope my boss understands.

I haven't posted here in a while.
I am 17w4d and feeling good. He's passed his NT scan, Mat21 test and fetal scan with flying colors. We are in the midst of signing up for daycare, looking at pediatricians and childbirth classes, and celebrating the fact that we might just get a baby out of this pregnancy.
Work is good though baby brain interferes a bit. My wife has been sick a lot but is a trooper and seems to finally be on the mend. I'm tired of snow.

I strongly suspect that the end of this miserable winter will help with your energy levels. I hope so for your sake!
Ohh...let me know how you like it. It in on my list when I need a new car since it has been decided that we need to keep a car with a 3rd row (I've transported other kids 3 of the 4 past weekends!)

I'll keep you updated! My sister also drives one though, and has been very happy with it. The 3rd row is tiny - B and I have squished in there several times but it's not in the slightest bit comfortable for adults. I think it would be great for transporting other kids while they're young, but may be pretty uncomfortable to try to stuff teens back there (assuming you're a person who keeps a car a long time like me). But it cost less than a new small SUV, with the 3rd row folded down it has more rear storage space than the small SUVs, and it has the option of the 3rd row for the rare times we need it. It's definitely the most affordable of vehicles with a 3rd row.
We were really tempted to get a new Honda CR-V but the payments would have been $100 more a month... we decided that as we're adding twin daycare and other twin expenses to our budget, still living in a HCOL area, I'm in school, and we're looking into whether I could cut my work hours a bit.... maybe the lower car payment was better. We also looked at some 2011 Honda CR-V's, which would have been less than the new Mazda 5, but it felt like the older used model lost a lot of the things that drew us to the new CR-V.
We're hoping to move in probably 2.5-3 years (hahaha, do we sound like you guys?), which will likely mean buying a 2nd car. Already trying to ponder whether we can go back to a small car by then or if we'll get an SUV....
Yea, I test drove one when I was buying my new van (well, new to me.) At the time, the kids were still in 5 pt car seats, which meant that whenever we wanted to use that 3rd row, we'd have to uninstall the seats (we wanted the car more for the 3rd than the storage.) It also felt so tiny after driving an Odyssey for 4y. I did test out the 3rd row and it was tight, but doable for short distances (and when the grandparents come they'd sit in the 2nd row and the kids would go to the back.) But I hear you about having 2 teens back there. My car will be paid off this summer, and I am hoping to get a few more years out of it before it goes to pasture (it already has nearly 100k on it - I drive a lot!)
