Morning!
I am good! Sleepy today but hoping to make it through the day :-) I also have yoga after work. Looking forward to relaxing on the couch once I get home!!
Weekend was good. Busy! Friday I had zumba, then got a hair cut and color, and met some friends out for dinner. Saturday I got a facial and pedicure, then spent the evening watching two OScar films - American Hustle and Wolf of Wall Street. They were both good!
QOTD: I usually do greek yogurt with fruit/granola, or a banana.

Good morning! The weekend was fun. DH and I cashed in our Christmas presents on our overnight in Melbourne. He had given me a gift certificate to a bra shop and I had given him tickets to the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular. It was fun. On an earlier visit, DH had found an ex-pat Canadian fast-food place that was advertising poutine, so we had to try it. And then after the concert, we found a new fast food Mexican place to try. Both were very good. We finished the weekend up with a breakfast of pancakes and got home before the intense heat hit. Monday was a day of recovery for me (and the Super Bowl) and today I hit the grocery early.
QOTD: I'm not a big post-workout eater, but I will drink a large glass of water or iced tea.
Morning. Just feeding dd2 in bed right now. She woke a little earlier than normal today (7.10 instead of closer to 8)
Weekend was quiet. Saw my brothers new house. Watched 6 Nations rugby on tv. Had yummy bottle of wine at home in front of the fire. Developed mastitis on Sunday (major booooo!) so was in bed 8pm Sunday. Went to dr yesterday so being treated now.
QOTD: There's nothing better than a cup of tea and brown scone with friends after my mum & baby Bootcamp these days. Going to miss that today cos of the above though :-(

Good morning! The weekend was nice. We went to the zoo on Saturday. It was a nice day and was pretty crowded despite there not being all that many animals out and about.
I'm pretty tired today despite DD actually getting an almost full night sleep from 8 to 5:15 for a feeding and waking at 7:15. DH is home sick today so I'm hoping I don't get whatever he's got.
QOTD: Work out? I need to work out before I could have a post work-out snack.
Morning! I slept in a little bit but don't feel rested Hopefully I'll get my stuff done today. It's a cut up kind of day with appointments here and there and not a whole lot of time in between to get any writing done.
The weekend was nice. Very relaxing!!! We watched two oscar movies: Dallas Buyers Club and Her. And on Sunday we went out for brunch at a place I recently discovered and Irish coffee at another place for "dessert."
QOTD: I frequently go run before lunch and then shower and eat lunch.

I was alone with both kids on Sunday-Monday morning because DH went to a soccer game in Munich with a friend. Oh! And we bought a kitchen on Friday. I don't know how it is where all of you are all over the world, but here in Germany, most rental places don't have kitchens in them. Not even a sink. I've been lucky in that every where I've lived here over the last 14 years actually had kitchens in them. We're moving to a house in March that doesn't have one, so we go to spend all of Friday at various stores before we finally found a place that could make us a reasonable offer.
QOTD: My favorite post-work out snack ... Haribo gummy bears.

We're watching Dallas Buyers Club next weekend. Can't wait to see it. Did you like it?
Today: Not so good. I'm going to the surgery clinic in an hour to have some questionable moles removed, but this morning it seems I came down with conjunctivitis. My left eye feels awful, and I have goop in both of them. I spent this morning running around wiping down every surface I touched in the office and telling people to wash their hands. Luckily I've been crazy hygiene-minded the past few days because one of our colleagues insists on coming to work and coughing on everything. So after my surgery I'm going to urgent care to get some eyedrops. (And luckily I'm not solely to blame, because another girl in the office started showing symptoms right before me.)
Weekend: Lots of fun. Company ski trip. Much drinking, beautiful scenery, and tons of cross-country.
QOTD: Water. I'm actually not very hungry at all after exercising. Which was a problem last weekend, because after hours more than we'd planned on the trails, I had no appetite for dinner. And then I drank heavily!

I saw Her last weekend! What did you think of it?
I liked Dallas Buyers Club. Someone in my family said they always hated MMcC and loved him in this. I have to say I didn't think his performance was outstanding but it was solid. Some of the supporting actors are amazing!
Her was really good too although some things were a bit out there for me and sometimes it was a bit slow. I think Joaquin Phoenix is a very good actor though and so I loved it for that. I was surprised by Amy Adam's performance. I usually don't like her all that much, but I really did in Her.

I'm excited for MMcC in Dallas. I hear he's great. I also heard the supporting actors (Jared Leto) are amazing.
I liked Her also. Agree it was slightly too slow/long at points, but I found myself still thinking about it a day or two later, so it definitely got my mind working! Amy Adams was very different in this role, but I'm with you, I also thought she was good.
We're watching 12 Years a Slave this weekend, which I've heard is excellent but you can't really watch more than once.

Eintracht vs. Bayern, right?
The weekend was OK. We went to Munich to look for apartments again. No luck, but I think we are getting closer. I don't enjoy looking at apartments, and I seem to be really picky about apartments. The best thing I did this week was eat Schweinshaze and drink a lot of beer. I hope the apartment search next week is better.
@dorothy Zbornak If you don't mind me asking, on average how much do you think a kitchen will cost? We may be facing this problem soon. I haven't had to do it yet because our apartment that we are in now came with a kitchen.

QOTD: a banana
(Just went running and downed a handful of gummy bears)
Yes ... my husband is from Frankfurt, and it was a serious clobbering. At least he got time away from the kids.
Our kitchen cost an even €5,000. We bought it from Möbel Höfner; they are having a thing going on until today where you get €1,000 off of a purchase €5,000 or more. They were super helpful with the planning and all that. The only thing we didn't buy is a fridge; we already have one.
You're living in FFM now and moving to Munich? I lived in Frankfurt from 2002-2011; we now live in the Odenwald, but we're moving to near Düsseldorf in March.

Not yet! It was on the agenda for last week, but all the versions that were downloaded weren't working. Hopefully soon!!!
Have you seen it? Is it good? I don't know much about it.

Yeah, I think Her had a really great script-writer and director as well as great acting performances. I know Scarlett Johansson got nominated for it and she was good but she didn't really stand out at all. It was a great ensemble cast. I think Her should win for Best Screenplay. I do think Scorsese should win Best Director and Leo should win Best Actor. I think that because Wolf Of Wall Street is a movie that would not have been that good if it weren't for those two (Scorsese directing it sharply and Leo giving a performance of his life). I think it's a film that would have been mediocre in different hands.
I liked Dallas Buyers Club. I do think it's a movie that went over the heads of some of the people in the audience with me. (Several people actually walked out and others were loudly complaining during the movie). I think DBC was a difficult movie to pull off. McConaughey's part was a really difficult part to pull off well and he did it. It's just that DiCaprio really acted his heart out in WoWS. This year so far from what I've seen (I've seen a lot but not seen them all) was about difficult and/or unlikeable and complex characters. That seemed to be a theme.

What kind of place are you looking for? What neighborhood? Maybe I could be of some help? PM me, if you'd like.
Wanderista where were you in theatre that ppl walked out during DBC??? And what were ppl complaining about???
Yes, someone sitting near me walked out about 2/3rds through the film. Other people started loudly complaining around that time. I heard someone say, "This is a BAD movie." Frankly, it was around the time when McConaughey and Jared Leto's character hugged.
Like I said, I think the movie went over the heads of some people in the audience. I feel similarly about Her (that a lot of people in the audience didn't "get" it). That doesn't make either a bad film at all. I think Life of Pi was a similar kind of movie last year. Really made me think.
Anyway, I think DBC dealt with a difficult subject but I think it handled it well. It also made a point that went much deeper than perhaps some people in my audience realized.
Totally unrelated but I need to vent. I'm very annoyed that Woody Allen got nominated for Best Original Screenplay for Blue Jasmine. Blue Jasmine is a freaking adaptation of A Streetcar Named Desire. I was irritated that Woody didn't credit Tennessee Williams, but having seen that the Academy is nominating Woody for Best Original Screenplay? I really question their judgement. They should have caught that.
I was watching Blue Jasmine and thinking, "Wow, I've seen this plot before." I happen to love A Streetcar Named Desire. I was immediately irritated that Woody didn't credit Williams. So yeah, seeing that the Academy let that slide? They should know better. He shouldn't be nominated in that category, let alone win. (This has nothing to do with any opinion of Woody Allen specifically, but in its present form, that is plagiarism). Ok, rant over for now.

I had a doctor's appointment, was meant to meet with a client who didn't show and then did a casting for a commercial (just for shits and giggles), then went to my ILs for chicken curry (yum).
QOTD: I tend to have a protein smoothie after my workouts as it's my breakfast as well.
