Haven't been to LV for several years, what are the must see things these days? Which Cirque show do you recommend (there are so many!) Restaurants- steak and/or seafood? Not interested in club scene We will be on the strip at Bellagio and the Cosmopolitan
Not clubs, but my favorite two lounges/bars in Vegas are MIX Lounge at THEhotel at Mandalay Bay and the Chandelier Bar at the Cosmo. MIX has a great view of the Strip and Chandelier Bar is just absolutely gorgeous. I also really enjoyed Hyde at the Bellagio if you go early (no cover before 10). It was nice to get a drink and have an upclose view of the fountain show.
I have only seen the Beatles LOVE show and the new Michael Jackson ONE Cirque shows. Both were good, but I absolutely loved the MJ show at Mandalay Bay. If you are an MJ fan, I highly recommend that show.
My favorite show is Le Reve. Not technically "Cirque" but that style. Cheaper than "O" and better IMO!
One of my favorite food experiences was at Mastro's. Best mac n cheese ever.
To keep $ in my pocket for shows and food, I did some free stuff that are part of the Vegas experience -fountains and Bellagio, volcano at Mirage, Secret Garden at Mirage (got free tickets). Wish I could've done the roller coaster but it closed down while I was there.
My favorite Cirque show is Love. We really enjoyed going down to Fremont Street one night. The vibe is much different than the strip and it was a fun change of pace. We also did a groupon for a night helicopter tour over the strip and that was beautiful!
I was just out there and saw the Love show. It was so beautiful and I think every seat in the house would be a great spot to see the show. We also went to see the Jabbawockeez at Luxor. That show was hilarious and so much fun.
We ate at Cirque while there and it was very good. I will say do not go to Gordon Ramsay Burgr. It was the worst dining experience I have ever had and the driest most horrible food. Everything was bland, over cooked and just plain awful. I was so disappointed.
Another vote for Love and O. Both were so fabulous. We also had a great dinner at the chef's table at Emeril's Fish House. I loved our road trip out to Hoover Dam.

I did this several years ago (2007 for our 1 year anniversary) and it was really good.
I also love Mastros like another poster recommended.
Other favorites are: L'Atelier, Jaleo, Mon Ami Gabi, Guy Savoy, Picasso, Fix and Stack
Off the strip: Firefly, Hot & Juicy Crawfish, Raku, DW Bistro
For shows: Mystere, Absynthe, O, Love and Jersey Boys (even if you don't like musicals, it's still good)
I'm not a club person either but I agree with getting drinks at a fabulous lounge with a view. I like Mix (Mandalay Bay), Foundation Room (Mandalay Bay), Level 107 (Stratosphere), V Bar (Venetian), and my all time favorite is Mandarin Bar (Mandarin Hotel). There's also a fun bar at Cosmo--chandelier bar.
You are staying in a perfect location, right in the center of the strip. There's plenty to do and see right in that area. Enjoy your trip!

I loved the cirque o show and David Copperfield. I even got picked to go on stage w him and disappear so I may be a little partial. I've heard absinthe is amazing too but we didn't have time for that. Raunchy but hillarious.
I adore the new Mirage volcano. I enjoy going up the Eiffel tower and watching the sunset plus a few fountain shows from above. I've hung out at Mirage's Secret Garden just to watch the dolphins and tigers. The Bellagio conservatory is always worth visiting. I sometimes take the bus north to the outlet mall.
I heard there's a zip line in the downtown covered area. Sounds interesting.

Cirque's Mystere is amazing. IMO, Love didn't even come close to comparing. My H had never seen a Cirque show before when we saw Love and he really liked it, but I was disappointed. And I love, love, love the Beatles.
Freemont Street is fun, much different than the strip vibe. Tables are cheaper and slots are looser.

Umm, you're going to need to expand upon this!
Were you picked out ahead of time so knew what was happening? Where did you go?

Ha! Totally random. My husband and I had 2nd row tix and for his last act he threw out balls to the audience and those who caught one got to come on stage. Well I didn't and was bummed...until he came over and handed me one. I got to go on stage for the trick and it was so cool. I also got to meet him backstage. It was a dream come true bc I wanted to be a magicians assistant when I was younger
