I don't know how to use eye cream. I sort of thought that I should just shut my eyes and smear the cream all over my eye area, but then some cream inevitably gets in my eyes and burns. Am I just supposed to rub it under my eyes? I feel like I didn't get some of the appropriate "being a girl" genes!
Like the others said, just go under eye (and side of eye - where crows feet might eventually show up). You can put any left over around your eye, but really, I'd keep your eyes open, so you can really getting under your eye up to the lashes, and on the side corner.
Also, random, but I highly recommend actually using eye cream, and not random moisturizer. I just say this, because this is what I found out my mom was doing, and she didn't understand why it was stinging her.
All of this, I also go as far down as my cheekbones, where you might start to see those laughlines/crows feet spread. I use one that's anti-wrinkle but also helps with brightening for my undereye circles. I pat under my eye first, then up around the crease of my eyelid. If there's still a smidge left, I rub it on the backs of my hands for extra wrinkle prevention
Squinting and furrowing your brow will also cause wrinkles (eventually)
I do way too much furrowing. I have made a conscious effort to stop since I am seeing a vertical line forming between my eyes. I think I'll be at the dermatologist's office for Botox in the next ten years. :-(
