i can't even use the teen as an excuse, although she was my date and was just as excited to go. we got cute red & white 3D glasses for the movie and a poster (and i have no idea what i'll do with mine).
it was really fun to watch, with lots of concert footage and behind-the-scenes stuff. really, it was like an e! true hollywood story with all the rise to fame and personal drama stuff. and i confess that i teared up a little watching her struggle with her split from that d-bag she married.
and now i have nothing but katy perry songs stuck in my head. you're welcome.
DH works out to Katy Perry and he wants to see this movie. Think buff 250 lb. man singing "You're hot then you're cold, you're yes then you're no..." as he lifts weights.

Did she say in the movie why her and Russell broke up? You know, besides the whole they barely knew each other when they got married thing?
Nope. No dish, just her emotions over it as she went on with her tour.
Obviously it was one-sided since KP paid for the movie to be made and it was all about her, but it really seemed like Russel didn't bother to ever travel to see her while she was on tour. Katy would work for two weeks, then fly back to LA and spend a few days with Russel, then fly back across the world. Rinse, repeat. I was sad for her that her husband wouldn't/couldn't take the time to fly out to her.
