I share a classroom with a teacher and she is clipping her nails at her desk. She also brushes her teeth in the sink in our room and there is always spit and toothpaste bits left in the sink - I kind of want to gag right now.
Anyone want to join in with their co-worker rants?
Nail clipping would enrage me. I don't even do it in my house because those suckers fly everywhere!
Oh, I can go on for HOURS about my awful coworkers. The honking nose blower next to me. The hacking cougher on the other side. And the woman 2 doors down from me has some sinus issues so she is constantly doing this gross snifflesnort.
But it's her food habits that put me over the edge: -She leaves her nasty greasy stuff in the fridge forever and it either gets moldy or smelly, or both. And it's always something heavily seasoned so it's stinky to begin with. -She refuses to wipe the microwave out when she is done cooking. I have gone into her office and brushed crumbs and dried cheese right onto her desk and she just laughs. -She eats ALL THE TIME and it's usually something messy so she ends up with food all over her face.

The guy in the cubicle next to mine cuts his nails at his desk weekly, I think it is the nastiest thing ever. And he doesn't do just one or two cuts per nail, it's more like 50 little cuts. I hate the sound to begin with, and then you bring how disgusting that is into it and it makes me want to puke.
All of these nail cutters in the workplace....can they not find 2 minutes at home to do that sort of grooming? The only time I find myself cutting my nails at work is if I happened to break one or rip one. I'm thankful that I haven't encountered any gross coworkers at my office yet.
She doesn't work with me anymore but I used to have a co worker who would clip her nails at work and she would chew gum like a cow. I have another co worker who eats with her mouth open. She looks like my dog when I give her peanut butter. It's gross.

I sit in a 4 cube arrangement with one empty cube. Both of the people who sit next to me clip their nails at work. I HATE THE SOUND. In case you can't tell it pushes me into the land of crazy.
One of the same co-workers also calls his college age daughter and wife to wake them up for work everyday.
ew ew ew. I am more grossed out by the toothpaste left over in the sink than the nail clipping. However, I will fully admit to doing weird things when I am alone in my office: I will floss my teeth! but only if I am alone and know I will not be caught.

Ewwww, that's so nasty. Men get the bad rap, but women can be even more gross when when it comes to hygiene/grooming.
I can't think of anything that preturbing I've seen at work. However, DH was telling about the lady he had to sit next to on a flight recently. Not only was she tweezing her eyebrows, but chin and neck hairs as well. Gag. Do that in the privacy of your own bathroom.
I never understand the workplace nail clipping. I admit if I have a hangnail or something, I will clip it, but never around people. I hate the noise it makes!
I'll never forget this time in college when I was bartending. I heard that nail clipping noise and it wasn't just once - someone clipped both hands. At a restaurant! I walked by the table and they were making no effort to contain the clippings. GROSS. So glad it wasn't my table. I wouldn't have gotten a tip because I probably would have said something.

It never ceases to amaze me that people find it acceptable to do personal grooming out in the open. I've worked with some nail-clippin' folks before and it is GROSS. One dude even did his toenails. Umm...just because we're in cubicles doesn't make that ok. At my current job I can't complain too much- other than some ladies' room situations, but at least they're keeping it in the proper room, lol!
Our office bathroom has no lock. I can't even tell you the number of times I have been barged in on mid-pee. Isn't it just common sense to freaking knock on a closed door? Luckily, the toilet is situated behind the door so no one has seen the goods, but it is so damn annoying.
A few years ago dh told me he would clip his nails at work. But not at his desk. Outside. Probably in front of somebody's window. I think I gave him an 'I thought I knew you' look.

Exhibit A: the period blood smear on one of the bathroom stall walls that's been there for MONTHS
Someone did a #2 on our floor at work and left it. Luckily I did not see it because I would have puked but a coworker told me about it. I don't get how grown women are so gross! I also have a few nail clippers in my area.. the clicking noise and just thinking about it makes me want to cringe.
