I tried to search for earlier posts but couldn't find any, but I swear we had some! So, any recs for great restaurants in Nashville? Going for a girls trip at the end of September and staying at the Marriott Vanderbilt.

The Loveless is the one that everyone always recommends for breakfast. DH and I like The Pfunky Griddle (make your own pancake place) though. Fido is supposed to have great healthy breakfasts.
For dinner or lunch Sambuca is awesome and has live music at night. We also like The Palm for dinner, but it's pricey. Puckett's Grocery is awesome, but there will most likely be a wait.
For bars, go to Broadway, especially on a weekend. We like Tootsie's, The Stage, and Second Fiddle in that area. Tootsie's is our favorite for a Friday or Saturday. We like The Stage and Second Fiddle on Sunday nights. Rippy's is good too since it's owned by Tootsie's. There's a ton of bars in that strip, but these are the best for good drinks and entertainment. You can get into Tootsie's or The Stage much easier by going to the alley behind them for the back entrances. If there's a line, it's worth going to. The places without lines are that way for a reason. Tin Roof is always a good time, but not in that area. Winner's/Looser's near Vanderbilt can be fun but it is more local. Look for shows at 12th and Porter or Mercy Lounge for cheap concerts before the bar hours start. The Bridgestone may also have something going that could be fun and it shuts the street down turning it into a block party atmosphere.
I like to shop Green Hills (outdoor where Anthro is) the most, but Opry Mills is fun too. We like to hang out there during the day as well as the Parthenon to kill time.
No problem! Feel free to PM me and I can give you bands to look for as well as more specific information. There's quite a few on Broadway getting radio play and close to making it big. Those are the ones you really want to see. DH and I are there almost every month. A lot of 12th and Porter shows are free or have very minimal cover since they are showcases for soon to be released work.
Also, there is no cover charge ever at most places on Broadway. Make sure to bring cash to tip the bands. They do not get any compensation for playing except tips. Even if you only want to give them a couple of bucks, it is much better than nothing. uUsually the tips are split 4-6 ways to cover everyone. A $20 bill will get anything you want played almost immediately at most places. Most tourists do not know this or believe that it's true, but it is 100% true.
