I'm about your same height, weight, and bra size, and I think I have huge boobs. Not like porn star big, but they're definitely too big for my frame IMO, and big enough that some styles of clothes don't look good on me. But also, I remember from the big bra post on ML that cup size is dependent on band size, so the cup of a 32G is a lot smaller than a 36G.
Yeah. I'm also a 34F not pregnant. It sounds like an obscene size, but that's because VIctoria's Secret has brainwashed us into thinking that a C cup is normal or whatever.

And yes, this. It's not just VS but the entire bra industry. We've heard all our lives that D is the biggest and anything DD or larger is gigantic, when that's not necessarily true.

I wore a 36B all my life until I got measured a year ago, and I'm a 34C. You would seriously NOT look at me and think I'm a C cup. I've bought A cups before. But I was shocked to find how well 34c fits.
I saw an article on buzzfeed today about measuring your bra size. I live in a smaller town without a specialized shop. I got sized at VS a few years ago and she told me I was a B cup. Um....no. I don't think my boobs are huge, but I think my bra might make them look that way in clothes. I've worn a 38C for a few years now; when I measured myself today I got 34E. I totally agree with whomever said that we are taught that anything over a C cup is HUGE. That's a hang up I need to get over. Well, I have a big band size, too. The bras in my drawer are all 40DD or DDD, depending on style. I think I have nice boobs but not particularly large ones. The common perception that DD is huuuuuuuge is just so off reality.
It really is surprising how messed up the sizing and industry seems to be. I wear a 32C or D, depending on style. I have small boobs. My friends all look at me like I am crazy and say no way do you wear a D. No, I do, but we have all been brainwashed and wearing the wrong size for most of our lives. (Before getting measured correctly, I wore a 34B and never understood why it always rode up on me).
I think the biggest reason we are all wearing the wrong size is because they carry so few sizes in most stores. It seems like the band sizes in department stores only range from 34--38.

I agree that the in-store selection is ridiculous most places. It's why so many women are wearing the wrong size. A girl in the fitting room next to mine walked in to Nordstrom's wearing a 36C and walked out in a 32DD - most stores don't carry a 32DD, so she probably just tried everything on years ago somewhere else until she found something that seemed right. Are there women out there who are truly a 42DD for example? Of course. But I bet a good number of them are really more like a 38G and don't know it because they've never tried on a bra in the right cup size. Most stores don't go past a DD, and even Lane Bryant doesn't go past a F cup in-store.
Edit: Forgot my point. I currently wear a much larger size at a higher weight, but when I was at my thinnest (5'3, 140 pounds), I was wearing a 38C, and it seemed like it fit. There's no way I was really a 38C in retrospect. That band was too big, and that cup size was too small. But in the world where D=really big and DD=enormous, I figured I was a C so that was that.
If you read up on how bras are fitted, it will make sense to you. A C cup is not the same with every band size. The size of the cup varies with the number of the band. I am a 30 C and my boobs are small enough that they are perky. Sorry TMI
I'm a 36G. I do feel like my boobs are big, but not as big as I imagined a G cup being. I definitely don't feel like they are so big that I shouldn't be able to shop at normal stores.

Right! I went from a 34C/34B/32C to a 28E/30DD. I don't have big boobies at all.
I'm currently wearing a 40DDD, but I should be a 40E if I could be bothered to hunt them down. I don't consider my bosom ample by any means.
A few months back one of my guy friends was talking about Dolly Parton being a DD, and I was trying to be like, no f'ing way without also being like dude, I'm a triple D.
This is me too. I think my boobs are great, perky pre-pregnancy even, and not huge at all. I went to Nordstrom last year and I'm really a 34D or 32DD. And I'm small enough to get by just fine in Target nursing tanks lol.
My mom has much bigger boobs than I do and I have had many a hushed conversations in dressing rooms trying to convince her that there is no way she's a 38C or whatever she thinks she wears. Maybe one day I'll get her to go to Nordstrom. It's always such a great experience, bigger cup size and smaller band size = Someone telling me I have bigger boobs and am skinnier than I thought

My mom wore a 36D for the longest time. She was way bigger than me before her breast reduction. She's probably a 34G post-reduction.

I agree part of the problem is in store selection. There is no incentive for the person at VS to say you need a 32D b/c they most likely do not have that size.

Yep. I thought I was a 36C for a long time... then I got measured CORRECTLY and it turns out that I'm an 34E or an 32F depending on bra. My boobs are pretty normal sized too.
There was a good website that explained volume vs body type and how DD doesn't mean 'porn star' boobs - but I'm not sure of it now.
