My ds is now 6 months old and takes normal naps in the morning and afternoon. So should I work out and bring him to the daycare during a nap and hope he sleeps or bring him during his awake time? I'd hate to miss awake time because I enjoy seeing him but I also don't want to mess up his nap schedule. What do you think?
I'd take him during awake time, but I am admittedly a little obsessive about sleep schedules (although it gets way easier to be flexible as they get older).
I second the suggestion of taking him during awake time. I never mess with naps - ever. But my child is a creature of routine - if yours is more flexible, you may be able to swing it.
If your DS is anything like mine, the change in environment and any type of stimulation will keep her awake. I would also recommend going during awake time
I use the gym for my shorter workouts. If we'll be there close to nap time I instruct them not to let him sleep because he won't get a good enough nap, and won't go back to sleep once he's up.
