So after running my first half last weekend, this past weekend I decided to run a 5K. My 5K PR was originally 37:16 (slow I know) and I beat it with a new PR of 33:24! Of course it was pouring rain and 40 degrees which sucked but I actually think the colder weather along with the cold rain on my face on the way back really helped. Next goal.. sub 30!
Whoop whoop! You knocked nearly 4 minutes off your PR! Sounds like you've been bitten by the racing bug!
Oh I've seriously been bitten. I have been racing for about a year but my first distance race was my half last weekend. Before then it was mostly 5Ks with one 10K in the fall
