Happy thing: My friend was accepted into PRINCETON's PhD program for classics and archaeology.  MY FRIEND IS GOING TO BE INDIANA JONES.  How awesome is that?  I told her last night, "You're awesome.  I hope everyone tells you that all the time." Because she is awesome. 



That makes me happy.


And this makes me happy for completely sinful reason.

I just cleaned my kitchen, including my refrigerator, and my pantry is almost empty. After the boy wakes up we're going to the store with our tax refund to fill it back up guilt free. This makes me happy.

And coffee.

OH YES. Well, we know how happy I am about my new washer and dryer; we are expecting our refund money before the 18th. It will no longer take me 4-6 hours to do one load of laundry.  I was actually pintresting how I am going to rearrange my laundry closet. 

And I will add coffee, too.

I would LOVE a new washer and dryer. But first I need a house where they fit inside it instead of in the garage. So my old rust buckets will do. Congrats on the new ones, that is the gift that keeps on giving.

For real.  We have a laundry closet, so I think I would totally love having the laundry in the garage.  My mom has her laundry in the garage, and it just make her house neater (since all the laundry is right outside her garage door.  Our closet is right behind the front closet so as soon as you walk in, you see the laundry queue in my house.   


This is exactly what mine looks like, except Luis hang his shirts in the way so that I have to move everything around to get to all the knobs, and the lint trap.  The top of the dryer is also a catch all.  I think I am going to do this with the area though.  Spring for a baby sitter and play in my laundry closet for a few hours.  Date night?  Who needs date night?

I've been dragging my heels looking for a job and mid-January decided to start getting serious about my search. Within 7 minutes of applying for a position I found on linked in my phone was ringing, and within a week and a half I had an offer. I have a few more weeks before I start, but I think the company and job is going to be a perfect fit for my life at this point in time. After having only worked for one company since I graduated college (which granted was 13 years) I'm kind of terrified to start something new, but really excited too.

My happies: we just got back from a weekend at Disney that was so fun, we extended our stay for an extra day; I'm going to have a SON this summer; and I'm currently planning Ellie's 2nd birthday party - just finished making her invitation, featuring her BFF Elmo. She's going to go nuts for it.

Washer and Dryer acquired. They will deliver it tomorrow. I will do so much laundry! SO MUCH.

I will have a Whirlpool top loader and matching dryer. I get them installed TOMORROW. My dryer has an automatic drying sensor on it, so when it's dry, it stops.

For myself, I am looking forward to saturday which is the day I've decided I will organize some things in my bedroom while husband watches the kids in the other room. I bought file folders two months ago to organize stuff for the babies and they're still sitting in their target bags. Saturday!!! Fingers crossed!
