Vents: Weather ruining my plans again. It looks likely we will be snowed in on our planned travel day. As long as e get out by Friday morning it should be okay, but I'm bummed about losing a vacation day. Injuries: A gross big toe nail, and an ANGRY knee. Boo.
Highlights: Despite all my grumpiness, things are going pretty well. 50+ miles last week and a great 20 miler. Looking forward to getting away for the w/e!

What are you training for? Date? Albany HM 3/1/14 Gate River Run 15k 3/15/14
Training plan for the week? Idk. I think I need to write some sort of schedule. I don't really want to be on a set schedule right now, but I think at least saying run on this day, core & upper body on this day, etc would be helpful. I'm using this week to ease back into some sort of pattern. It will hopefully look something like this: M: Nothing. I drank wine in our garage & talked to DH while he refinished a bookshelf. lol T: 7-8 miles/bridges + core W: 6 miles + upper body Th: hip PT exercises + core F: Rest S: 5-6 miles S: 12 miles
Any vents/issues or injuries? Not really. I'm still feeling a little tight during runs, but I think regular running & stretching will help.
Highlights or AW's from last week? I had a really fun H&F weekend. We did this puzzle/challenge/race thing on Saturday, and then I joined my fave running buddy for 18 of her 22 miles on Sunday. We haven't had that much quality running time together in awhile, and it was fun. She killed it! It was gorgeous on Sunday, and I was pretty pleased that my body felt pretty decent w/the 18. I usually take a longer break from the really high mileage runs after a marathon.

What are you training for? Date? Boston (4/21)
Training plan for the week? I had a good 7 mile run last night. Only plan for the week is to try and carve out an hour to run each day.
Any vents/issues or injuries? Downtown Atlanta is a ghost town. There's only a handful of us in the office today, but I'm here like a good worker bee. So far it's only rain, but hopefully we won't lose power with the ice predicted in the next couple days.
Highlights or AW's from last week? No, it was a busy week. Not much running occurred. Oh, but some more of my old pants are fitting again. I'm closing in on my "goal weight"
What are you training for? Date? New Bedford Half, March 16
Training plan for the week? Yesterday rest, today interval training (5 mile total), tomorrow 3 mile lunch run, Thursday strength training, Friday rest. Saturday 6 mile tempo run and Sunday 10 mile race
Any vents/issues or injuries? No injuries, although I know I need to be careful. I'm suffering from weekend warrior syndrome with all the weekday workouts I've had to miss lately.
Highlights or AW's from last week? I felt super strong on my 10 miler on Sunday. I have less than 5 weeks to go and I'm getting really excited!

Vents: None Highlights: We are lucking out with spring-like weather around here - high of 70 this weekend, whoa!!!
What are you training for? Date? Half marathon - 4/27 25k - 5/10 (Speaking of this, does this spacing look okay? It's only 2 weeks, which wouldn't bother me except that I care more about my half time than my 25k time, so I don't really want to treat the half like a training run.)
Training plan for the week? M - rest T - 5 mile run W - random DVD R - 5 mile run Sa - rest Su - 7 mile run with a new running group!
Any vents/issues or injuries? The daycare plague is KILLING me. Between that and the snow, I've missed or shortened a lot of runs. I'm a little worried about how this is going to affect my training as it gets closer to spring races. I'm still feeling okay with the distances, but the snow makes me super slow by necessity, and I have motivation issues on the treadmill so end up going super slow there, too.
Highlights or AW's from last week? No. I missed two runs due to illness and cut the third one short by 4 miles. Awesome.

Any vents/issues or injuries? SNOW and COLD.... I'm also annoyed that we got invited to a birthday dinner on Saturday, that was supposed to be our Valentine's dinner. I can move our reservation to Sunday, but I am a baby and I wanted to go out on Saturday.
Highlights or AW's from last week? I paced a friend to a PR last week. She was aiming for 29:30 and we finished in 29:03. I was trying to bank us time on the way out for a hill on the back half, but it was much easier going back than I expected.

Highlights or AW's from last week?
It was only 5 miles on Saturday, but I ran it in about 11 degrees on snow, and still averaged 8:40 pace. So I am feeling good about getting faster when I have dry pavement and my weight is 5 pounds less without all the winter gear.
Monday - 4 miles with 2 x 1 mile at 8:57, 8:30 (goal marathon pace, goal half pace) Tuesday - rest Wednesday - 6 miles, maybe with some 400 repeats depending how I feel Thursday - rest Friday - 4 miles easy Saturday- 13 miles Sunday - rest or recovery run. Lately Sunday is the main day I can get outside in the middle of the day, so I like to take advantage of it.

Vent = I just realized my half is on Easter weekend. I'm still going to run it, but that's a big family weekend & holiday for us so I'm kind of bummed

I want to share this somewhere... I'm already having weird marathon dreams. Ah!
Last night I dreamed that my marathon started at 7 pm instead of 7 am. It was also the same day as my sister's wedding. I kept trying to help my sister get her hair & dress ready while still having time to get my running gear together & get to the race. I think the ceremony started at night too, strangely enough. Apparently I was wiling to skip the wedding; I ended up missing the race & the wedding. I was SO bummed. Then I started dreaming about various new race options.

Highlights or AW's from last week? I finished my last 10 miler before my half yesterday. If I run my race as well as I did yesterday, I'm in a position to possibly PR and maybe even get a sub -2hr time!
What are you training for? Date? Indianapolis Women's Half Marathon on 6/7 and a couple of spring 5K races.

M-yoga + speedwork (total of 4 miles with the warmup and cool down) T- spin, weights, and easy 2 mile jog W-yoga + 5 mi run + 30 minute swim Th-spin and weights F- date night (so probably off!) Sa- 7 mile run + 45 min swim Su- planned rest day
Any vents/issues or injuries? I'm really struggling with the treadmill right now. I used to have no issues with it, but lately have been dreading it. Better weather can't come soon enough!
Highlights or AW's from last week? I was WIPED OUT after my 5.25 mile run + 40 minute swim on Saturday. I took a nap afterwards and lounged around most of the day. Maybe I need to increase my calories or something? I can't afford the time to be a bum all day on Saturdays!
What are you training for? Date? Mountain bike racing in general. "Real" racing starts around mid-March.

Sat.-45 mile gravel grinder, Sunday:-32 mile moderate ride (too tired for anything else from Sat.'s ride), Monday: 45 minute walk, Tuesday: 60 minute moderate trainer ride, Wed.-either mtb ride outside in the snow or 60 minute moderate trainer ride, Thursday & Friday-off, Sat.- 2 hour road ride, Sunday-fun mountain bike race to benefit a local Junior racing team
Any vents/issues or injuries? My shoulder has been hurting me. I was going to have a massage, but tomorrow predicted "Icepocalypse" has moved it to next week.

Any vents/issues or injuries? ~My running sucks. I feel like it's just getting worse and worse. I'm seriously doubting I can do the run portion of the HIM. I'm actually scared.
Highlights or AW's from last week? ~H and I did our own sprint tri for the hell of it. I didn't die!
What are you training for? Date? I'm not actually registered for anything at the moment (which is weird) but I'm planning to run the Bayou City Classic 10k on 3/8 and the Austin 1020 on 4/13
Training plan for the week? M - started back up with NROLFW T - I took a $1200, 8 hour test with 12 pretend patient encounters (I am SO BITTER about this stupid test) and it was in the 30s and raining all day, so basically I'm drinking W - 8 miles easy Th - strength F - 3 miles recovery S - 6-7 miles easy S - something in the 13-15 mile area
I'm trying to just aim for a range mileage wise with a goal of 30 miles/week distributed however I can manage. We'll see how that goes.
Any vents/issues or injuries? I'm really sore from yesterday. I took it pretty easy on the legs because I want to maintain my runs and try to ease back in, but my glutes, abs, and upper body are hating me.
