Hey ladies! How's it going this week? Any new developments?
We had our NT scan on Wednesday, and everything looked great. Baby was super active and everything measured on time - ahead, actually. I need to adjust my ticker since I'm now 13w4d.
Since I'm a STM, I'm starting to feel little flutters... it's pretty cool. Mostly when my belly is squished or if I'm super still or something. But yay for baby movement!
I'm 9w5d today. Still waiting for my "first appointment" (my appt at 6w was a "viability check") on Monday, at 10w4 days. My understanding is that that's just 3 days too early for an NT, so I guess I'll have to go back not too long afterward for that. I wish I had at least gotten like an outline of expected appointments last time, but I get why they do it that way, and I was glad to have some anxiety lifted so early.
I have pooped FOUR TIMES today, the first time in EIGHT DAYS. lol. I still feel backed up, but am not in agony anymore. You'd think I'd won the lottery.

I am so happy you pooped!! I was thinking about you this weekend - and I know how it feels to need to poop. Post c/s with DD, I didn't poop for 6 days (and who knows how long it had been before that), so trust, I was thanking the Baby Jesus when it finally happened.
Let's see... I'm 11w. NT scan is next Thursday, with an OB appointment the following Tuesday. I am having zero symptoms at the moment which is making me panic. The 9 days between today and the NT can not come fast enough!

What finally worked?
lol thanks for thinking of me and my bowels. I think it was a joint effort. Hydration including gatorade and tons of apple juice, daily colace, fiber bars, raisin bran. Under normal circumstances, all of that would make me end up needing an immodium! lol. But now it's just enough to even me out.
Nothing too exciting going on this week. I have been having BH contractions, which I know I know is normal, but at work am having them twice as frequently as my OB wants. I am scared that I am going to have to stop working sooner than planned and have to use most of my FMLA time before baby comes. I don't have any benefits at work so no STD or PTO to use.

Almost 28 weeks. No huge news over here. Dr said he was okay with me flying at 32 weeks so that is sort of a relief. Have fun at your NT scans, ladies. Hope it is all good news and the baby gives you some good shots.
16 weeks today. I had my early anatomy scan yesterday. Baby looks good. I have the "real" anatomy scan in another 4 weeks or so. I changed the appointment to a different time so that I can bring DD with me. I think she will be very excited to see the baby moving. Heck, she was excited just to see her own lung x-rays last year.
11 weeks. Baby looks good. Had my first ultrasound from the outside this week, and thanked the NP for being the first appointment in ages not to require me to take my pants off.
I have a bad cold, and I think it might be killing me. The OB and the advice nurse said that Robitissin was fine, but the pharmacist said NO WAY! So now I feel guilty taking it (but not guilty enough to not take a small swig before I try to go to bed at night).
Also FastHands - you might appreciate this. I've been eating a shit ton of cough drops, and just read on the back of the bag that too many cough drops will have a laxative effect. BONUS!!! And they say it as a 'warning' lol.
I'm in the hospital due to pregnancy induced hypertension. I hate the hospital. I am on IV mag and doing a 24 hr urine collection and getting steroid shots.
I am trying to chanel the pain of infertility to remember why this is worth it. I can't sleep on the monitor so I think this might be a night of zero sleep. It sounds like the earliest they'd let me go is Sunday, but it could definitely be longer. We cried and prayed for this for two years. This is what I wanted. This will all be worth it. Mantra repeat.

Uuugh I'm sorry. I've been thinking about you. I hope you manage to get some rest. Is it an auto cuff, or just a noisy monitor? I was going to suggest ear plugs, but lord knows nothing can make that stupid cuff any less awful. Sending you good vibes for early release.
I hope they get your BP down and everything looks good with those babies! Mag can suck, I hope its not making you feel too terrible and that you won't have to be on it long. Thinking about you and hoping you get to go home to your own bed and no monitors soon!

Thanks. It's the auto cuff and the NST monitor - so a belly band for each baby and one for contractions. Thankfully they moved me to a different floor at 6am and I'm off continuous monitoring. So now it's just an IV and collecting my urine and one monitor and ultrasound per day. I also got treated to an echocardiogram and an EKG.

Ugh. Glad you are free from some of the worst of it. How are you feeling?

Other than exhausted (I'm up to about 90 minutes of sleep since i got here yesterday evening) I feel physically fine. The IV is annoying but mag isn't quite as bad as I've heard. I just want to go home. The doctor said maybe tomorrow. The most important thing is that it doesn't sound like delivery is imminent. I have infertility guilt - like I shouldnt be complaining because I am lucky to be here.

I know what you mean. But girl, when you're in the hospital, you are allowed to complain, and no one (even those still trying to get pg) are going to begrudge you that. It's the "omg I'm slightly queasy and I can't wear my 5" heels" shit that we'd have to flog you for.
I'm glad that nothing looks dire/urgent, and I hope you can go home tomorrow. I will send you peaceful, sleepy thoughts!

Thanks Fasty. I never wore 5" heels and wasn't that queasy so hopefully I can avoid my flogging.

I haven't created a ticker... I'm hesitant to do it before I know everything is OK.
We still have 3 weeks to go before our first sonogram, I wish February would hurry up and end!
With my first kid, I was SO tired all the time by this point. This time around, I fall asleep around 10 like normal but wake up around 2 and can't fall back to sleep. I also have heartburn which is REALLY weird since it's so early.
Non pregnancy related, I'm in discussion to get my job back! I was on a 90day hiatus due to a newly implemented contractor rule (you can work 2 years consecutively, but then you have to take 90days off). The down side is that my boss seems to have 'forgotten' that I was making $5/hr more than what she told my new contracting company... so that's going to be an interesting conversation.

Glad to hear you're off the continuous monitoring! Hope you can get some sleep soon
