What are your ten things?

1. E made a small/big step last night in her sleep transition back to her room. I have hope.

2. However, she woke me up at 4:40 because she was cold and didn't think to zip her sleeping bag up herself (she's transitioning gradually on an air mattress on the floor).

3. I was sleeping SO HARD when she woke me and I just can't shake the grogginess.

4. Busy day today, trying to squeeze this in between patients and meetings.

5. I have a haircut tomorrow. I'm trying to grow out the top a bit but now I'm feeling so shaggy. I need some style help.

6. I'm hoping to see my bff tomorrow briefly. I miss her hugs.

7. My desk is such a mess.

8. I am a piles person. At least I mostly know what is in the piles and where to find things.

9. Is it naptime yet?

10. E and I have 3 different functions to attend this weekend: a kid birthday, a surprise 50th birthday, and a going away party. How did we become so social?

1. yesterday was special *insert sarcasm* Took nearly 90m to go the 6 miles from school to work due to an accident, realized I was supposed to facilitate a journal meeting, but hadn't read the article, was covering the ER and got called over there repeatedly, and was playing a mad game of catch up since I wasn't here Monday...I was glad to get out of here yesterday.

2. But we did meet L for an impromptu dinner before she went to the PTA meeting and had delicious ribs and bleu cheese mashed potatoes.

3. I get to leave work for a meeting (and then come back) - but I almost never get to leave work during the day (like 1x/year.) I wish it was nicer out to take advantage of being out.

4. Thankfully, my boss authorized me to take a cab so I don't have to find street parking in my big a$$ van! YAY!

5. This impending snow forecast is driving me nuts. I've seen anything from 4"-20" to rain. Wonder what we'll wake up to. Thankfully, L can work from home since I am taking off Friday (kids don't have school for teacher work day.)

6. We are finally watching House of Cards. It took about 7 episodes, but I am finally getting into it.

7. L is starting a before care exercise program at the kids school and it is really taking off. She is promoting it big time and is getting a lot of great responses and volunteers to help. She is so excited!

8. We put in for a lottery for a new public charter school for the kids. But realistically, I don't think we'll pull them even if they get chosen. It would save us $$$$, but they are having a great experience at their school.

9 and 10. I need to work.

1. It's Wednesday. I can never seem to get to these things on Tuesdays, if at all.

2. I want this week to be over so I can get to the long holiday weekend. Some happenings have created a lot of extra work for me this week and I'm so over it.

3. I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow. I haven't told my wife yet. I'm WAY overdue (I haven't been since October!) and am probably going to just go with a similar cut to the one I had last time, but I might go a little more drastic with my bangs. I don't know, I haven't decided yet.

4. My running group started back up last Saturday but I wasn't able to go. I'm glad to be getting back out there with them tomorrow, though. Plus it'll be "warm" at almost 30 degrees.

5. I've been doing a group weight loss challenge, I'm down 8 lbs (as of my last official weigh in on Sunday) in the three weeks since we started and I've been wearing pants for the last couple of days that I haven't been able to wear in ages. It's nice.

6. I'm hungry and ready for lunch. I didn't realize how late it was already.

7. I'm tired today. The boy came in and crawled into bed with us 3 times last night. He's usually a good sleeper and rarely comes in, but the last couple of weeks he's been coming in a couple of times a night. I don't mind the cuddles, it's the moving around and sticking his foot in my ribs that gets me. Sigh.

8. I finally set up my old sewing machine in our new craft room and proceeded to fix all of the clothes we've had sitting in a pile needing something (hems that came out, a rip somewhere, a hole in a seam).

9. I'm glad this current storm is missing us and we don't have anything major in the forecast.

10. Okay, lunch time.
