NYC marathon lottery question

OK I searched the website and couldn't find anything and I sent an email to NYRR and haven't heard back.  I entered the lottery for NY but some personal things have come up that have me unable to participate.  I just found out last weekend that we have a wedding in Miami the weekend after the marathon that we have to attend (groom was in our wedding) and I don't think I can make the trip to NYC and the trip to Miami.  Plus my running partner who signed up to run with me just found out she has cancer and starts chemo and radiation this week so I'd like to wait to do it until she's healthy so we can do it together as planned.  Does anyone know if there's a way to remove my name from the lottery?

How can I remove my name from the drawing?.
You can request to have your name removed from the drawing by emailing us up until 11:59 p.m. EDT on March 15 and requesting that your name be removed. After that, if you are accepted, your processing fee and entry fee are non-refundable and non-transferable.

ETA: I see that you already emailed them, but maybe try again? I'd also save the email as proof that you tried to cancel in case you still get selected.

So weird, I searched all through the FAQs and didn't see that! But yes, I emailed them. Hopefully they accept my email. I think i'll try again just to be sure. T hank you for the help!
