I'm not so great with the "just throw in this and that and walla!" recipes. There are a quadmillion recipes for this salsa chicken in the crock pot everyone talks about on here. I'm probably making it more difficult than it needs to be but can someone point me to a recipe, if only to know proportions/measurements? Thanks!

Just use a package of boneless/skinless chicken and a jar of salsa. You can add a drained/rinsed can of beans as well. Some people add cream of something soup, but that just seems gross to me.

I use 4-6 chicken breasts, depending on how big they are, cover them with a packet of taco seasoning, then cover that with a 24 oz jar of salsa. Cook on low for 8 hours then shred the breasts in the stand mixer using the paddle. Walla!
4 chicken breasts (frozen or fresh), one packet of taco seasoning (or 1/4 cup if you have the big container like I do), one jar of salsa. Easy peasy. And it's so good.
For me, yes, it's really *just* chicken and salsa. For two chicken breasts, I throw in one 16-oz. tub of salsa. Two tubs for 4-6 breasts. Cook on high for around four hours, or low all day. Shred with forks. Awesome taco filling.
3 large boneless skinless chicken breasts 1 packet taco seasoning 1 jar salsa 1/2 salsa jar water
After you shred it at 1/2 tub sourcream
I use this as taco filling, Mexican lasagna filling, sometimes in the middle of cowboy pie ect.
Mexican lasagna?! share please
Okay- so you simply layer the salsa chicken leftovers with flour tortillas & cheese just like a regular lasagna. I make brown rice with my tacos so I mix that in with the meat & add black beans as well. Super fast, Super Yum. Uses up leftovers.
