So my cat

is hiding inside the fireplace right above the open flue. I can't get him out. I'm home alone. This sucks. :-(

My Dad said since he got in he could get out just leave food for him, but its terrible!!!!!

Oh no I'm sorry! I would be freaking out!! If you don't want to wait maybe call a chimney sweeper or the fire department or animal control??

Oh my gosh! I hope he comes out soon I think your dad is right, could you leave something out for him to eat that he really likes? Tuna or something? Keep us updated!

He finally jumped down and I closed the flue. That was so terrifying.

My husband thought it was so funny when I finally got a hold of him. I didn't think it was that funny until it was over though!

So he got scared and jumped over the fireplace screen and then up into the opening right above the flue. So when I looked up inside the fireplace I found a squishy kitty face staring down at me. The flue is now closed so he can't get back up there.
