I took my DD skiing today. Her instructor was telling me about a crazy movie he saw and said it was supposed to be based on a true story. I said, "well, you know what they say, sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction."

he obviously never heard that expression before because he was confused for a minute then cocked his head to the side and said, "well, unless it's Harry Potter, cuz Harry Potter can get really strange....(looking wistfully). I really love Harry Potter...(drifting away into confused happy thoughts about Harry Potter)

I do have to give him props for recognizing that Harry Potter is fiction, though.
