Went to the store, DH might go see a movie and I'm going to hang out on the couch with Abby and watch tv. Later I plan on reading. I am not ashamed for how I spend my time. Then we're going to have a game night with a couple of friends.
We were supposed to have D&D, but our DM has the flu.
I am watching a "Worst Cooks In America" marathon currently. I cleaned the house and made a small errand run earlier. It was horribly windy last night, so I have to go clean up the debris from the yard before the sun goes down.

We did a GS cookie booth this morning and both kids had parties to go to this afternoon.
Yesterday was glorious for me, though. Instead of doing anything productive, I dropped the youngest off and came home to watch old DW episodes. It was a needed thing.
Nothing. H is working tonight and today was my first day back to work after being off for a week with the flu so I'm kind of low on energy. I'm contemplating trying to scan some old pictures but I'm not sure if I feel like starting that sort of project tonight.
Packing, the movers come on Monday and should have our drop off date of Thursday. That means I have to bust out a cleaning whirlwind. 3 guys, who never clean, yuck at our house! I am leaning towards paying for a cleaning company to come in.
I went one last time to Ikea with my mom and sister, a few frames for my son's room, and the best wooden hangers for the new coat closet. We also went to the Lego store, and my sister got hit on majorly. The store guy stuck a free Jabba the hutt Lego figure in her bag because we were talking about legos and she kept debating on buying the set. He gave us all a bunch of free stuff, and was really nice. I kept trying to hint that she give him her number. She wouldn't. Today is more packing, and my hubbie and the son are going to see The Lego movie. One of our friends is taking them as a going away gift, and I have a surprise for the kids. His son is 3 days younger then mine, so I got them both a Lego Movie pack of Legos with an mini figure. I am silly excited to give them.
We decided to get our dog next week, and I realized how much I miss my dogs. We bought a few racing greyhound books, and I may of bought a doggy coat. Don't judge me! We ended up some how talking to the actual dog park, and we can just walk in and adopt straight from them. I feel a little off about that. I really wanted a dog thats been fostered out, and give money to help more dogs. The rescuers we talked to, or have seen online don't want to adopt to us. Damn these small kids! I really believed we would be great dog owners. I also know our kids are ready, and would do great with a dog.

I don't recommend getting it straight from the track if there are good rescues around. If the dog isn't a good fit for your family, a rescue will work with you or even take it back - the track won't (or at least not all of them will). They probably won't be house trained either if they're coming straight from the kennels. Good luck when we get a house I definitely want a greyhound!

I really want to do a rescue. We have a 2 year old, so most of them won't adopt to us. I still have hope that one of them that hasn't replyed might. It took my husband forever to talk me into a dog, and now, he has his heart set on a greyhound since I vetoed a puppy.
We did find one I loved at a local shelter, but she got adopted already. I know if we do a shelter, we will have to pick the dog, and then bring in the kids. Otherwise they will be begging for every dog and cat they see.
