Last night I drank waaaaay too much. Like, way too much. Like, was supposed to do 7 miles but bailed. Like, barely made it through body pump too much. So today, I had no plans to drink.
Except we went out. And I had two glasses of wine and two vodka drinks (with like double shots). And nachos. And now I'm buzzed. And there's no way I'm getting up in the morning to run. Tell me that a) missing it won't really matter in the scheme of things (Princess 5K and half next weekend) and/or b) I'll be able to do it later in the day, so no whoop.
ETA: I'm bad. How do I ever get anything done? You're amazing and are always well prepared. I'm glad you're having such a fun weekend! An afternoon run sounds like a good bet
I just finally got back from my run, and I cut it to 10 miles. Lol It was good & shitty all at the same time. I can't drink coffee before runs. I get cramps, & my heart feels like it's going to pound out of my chest (resulting in a slower pace). I know this, yet I still had two cups. Add to that a headwind for 4 miles & I just wanted to get it over with. Still, I managed 10 miles @ 7:51 pace. The pollen is out of control & now I can't stop sneezing. My eyes are all red & watery.
Ugh. That's done. A friend from school texted me so we met up for 7. Those were the longest 7 miles everrrrrr. Between ice/puddle walk arounds/stops and dog stops, we eeked out a 9:25 pace. Good Lord, that hurt. I'm blaming the booze, and not that I just suck right now.
