Has anyone done the Chicago Half?

I'm looking for a fun Fall Half to make a weekend trip out of.  Was randomly searching last night and came across the Chicago Half series.  DH and I have never been to Chicago and have talked about going for a weekend trip so this would be a lot of fun.  Just wondering if anyone has ran it (looks fairly new, I think) and if anyone has any feedback on where to stay, eat, etc.  Thanks!!
