DS is napping and I'm perusing Pinterest-always a dangerous thing.
I got to thinking that we may be able to get rid of DS' dresser and use the Expedit drawers/doors in this:
I really want to do this for the corner in DS' room once we get rid of the glider. I'm thinking that this would help DS be able to put away clothes (he already does now... I fold and he puts away, he loves it!), and we hang a lot of stuff anyway. Or am I opening myself up to disaster if he can easily get everything out and throw it around?
He has 2 corner windows which would be perfect for a reading nook...

This idea is super cute. My only concern would be how well his clothes would fit inside as he gets bigger.
my thought is that only pants and socks/underwear would be in there since we hang everything else. good thing to think about-may run to ikea this week to look at the drawers. thanks!!

My son has the 25 cube Expidit in his bedroom. The bottom two rows are for toys, the middle two rows are for clothes, and the top row holds things like the humidifier. Just the two rows would not be enough for all of DS's stuff (he is 4), but I love the giant one. It holds everything in his room, so he has room to play and to have a small sofa that converts to a bed for friends to spend the night, and a bed.
Dd1 is able to open all of her clothes drawers and it's never been an issue. I attribute half of this to her personality and half of it to my being a hardass, which I know you are too. I say go for it
