I got really overwhelmed the first time I went there, I know how you feel . Everyone talks about it so when one finally opened here and I needed a bookcase, FI and I went. It was PACKED and it was hard to find the best one since there are bookcases scattered everywhere. I would like one and write it down, then see another 15 minutes later that I also liked, then couldn't decide which would be better since I couldn't see them side by side. THEN the one I really wanted was out of stock when I finally made it through the maze to the warehouse.
Now, I look stuff up online and if it is in stock. If I want to see it in person first I'll try to find it, otherwise I go straight to the warehouse.
We are returning stuff that was defective. After ealier in the day of 2 hours figuring out what to get. He now vows we will never get Ikea furniture again.
Ikea pissed me off. I bought a medicine cabinet. I decided it wasnt a good size. I returned it one week later with receipt but during that time I had replaced my ViSa (expired) and they told me I couldnt have a refund to a different card. I had to have a store credit. I had that credit for 2 yrs.
Hanna...don't most stores make you refund to the card you purchased on? I would have waited until my new card came in with the same account # and done it then?
Actually, thinkingback, I think my card was compromised so I had a new number. Not my fault. Not Ikea's fault either, but I thought they should be more flexible. i doubt people are robbing people of their Ikea stuff just to return it for a stolen refund
