I have battled with IT band issues in my left leg for over a decade. I've done PT, had it stripped, foam roll, get sports massages, stretch, everything, and it still will act up the minute I do squats, lunges, or ride a bike. A giant pain in the ass.
I was trying to find a resistance workout that didn't incorporate squats or lunges, and I found the Ballet Beautiful classic 60 minute workout. Honestly, after one workout I could tell a difference in my IT band, and after 3, I didn't have my usual pain when going down stairs or squatting down on the floor. Like, I would wince knowing the pain was coming, but it never did.
The exercises look so simple and easy, but it's deceiving. I was dying after the first time I did it (and when Mary Helen says "Have a sip of water," I was chugging it) and my legs were a little jittery all day.
