I'm an old old old D&R nestie from back in the day. I know no one remembers me....well, maybe just a few. I've taken time off of GBCN and now I have a house question!
My DH and I are selling our home. There is one room the realtor would like us to repaint. It's currently a chocolate brown. It connects to a room that is chocolate brown and the infamous.....drumroll please.....silver sage. (Yes, it's obvious we haven't painted since 2009.)
Can you reccomend a great neutral, LIGHTER paint color that will cover well and look pleasing for buyers? There is NOT a lot of light in that room. Again, it connects to a room that is brown and silver sage (if this helps). I don't want to paint this room silver sage...I'm just looking for something bland but nice.
Thank you in advance....I am not wanting to hunt through beige after greige (or whatever they call it)....so if anyone has a favorite sell-my-house shade, you are helping me! Also, I am right by both a Lowe's and Home Depot so I can go to either.
Behr's classic taupe may fit your needs. Behr is a Home Depot brand. It is a classic beige-y color that is very neutral. We used it in the guest bedroom in our all house.

That's the color for our main floor. It took FOR EVER and probably 10 paint samples on the wall, and looking at the wall during the day and night to make the decision!

Welcome back!!!
I'd go with BM Hazy Skies. It's a pretty classic greige and DOESN'T read pinkish. (Our rental was painted a greige that leaned pinkish and it was like living inside a band-aid. Not good.)

I would try Ben Moore Revere Pewter.... Very popular color, modern and neutral. It can be color matched at HD or Lowe's. I used it in my hallway.... Love it.
