I'm getting faster. So much faster. I'm not good at pacing yet (hopefully this will come eventually?) so the treadmill is really helping me push myself to run faster than I might normally, and I'm doing intervals, etc. that are hard to do while city-running.
I might still incorporate run shorter run a week on the treadmill, even once it's nice out, just to push myself to run faster. Anyone else?
I really like the treadmill for speedwork too. I NEED to learn to do it on my own outside though without the crutch of the treadmill. Or rather, I guess I just need pacing help outside.

This is me too. I wish I could say I've had enough training that I can pace effectively for intervals but I just don't. I'll get there! (I hope)
Nice work! I can't get through a treadmill run with out some sort of intervals.
This is me exactly. I don't understand how someone can just run at a steady pace on the treadmill (I wish I could, it would make winter easier!). I need something to keep me from getting overly bored.
def prefer the outdoors, but sometimes it's nice to get on the TM, set the pace to uncomfortable and get your tempo on without thinking about it too much.
I run on the treadmill pretty often, just because of the time I have to do some of my runs (5-6am or 6pm.) I don't hate the treadmill - I'll put on a good show or a new Pandora station, play around with speed, incline, etc. It's a good change of pace (literally and figuratively.)
