So, Chevron is the sponsor for the Houston marathon. All the Chevron gas stations put out little signs out promoting the race. They're disposable, like what a political campaign sign would look like, not the reusable metal kind. One station near me still has theirs out from the race that happened a month ago. All the other stations around here took theirs down right after the race, which is what I presume they were supposed to do. Can I go take one, or do I need to ask inside?
I'd probably ask first, but I'm a wuss and terrified of getting caught! But honestly, I think it's totally fine and I would not think you are a thief for taking it without asking

I'd bring it in and ask. I only takes a moment. But I wouldn't consider someone who took one as stealing - more like recycling because it was just going to get thrown away anyway!
Way late update: I was dealing with sick kids, a post-surgery DH, and then got sick myself, so totally forgot about this. But I drove past a Chevron on the way home from the ILs' house today and a sign was still there, so I swiped it. Yay me!

Swiped! I can tell you have little ones - swiper no swiping!!
I'm sure the person who was supposed to throw those in the trash is thankful you grabbed it

lol. Way too many hours of my life have been spent watching or listening to Dora. I don't even want to think about it!
