This poll is inspired by a conversation with my H earlier today. I will report the full story after we get some poll results.
Edited for those on the app: Do you put on deodorant before you run first thing in the morning? 1 - Yes, of course. Every time. 2 - Sometimes, but not always 3 - Never 4 - Sweaty armpit snowflake

I voted yes, but I should add that I go to CF where other people can smell me rather than running alone. I'm pretty sure I'd do it just to run too though, mostly out of habit.

I rarely put on deodorant in the morning before my workouts...and I workout at a gym around other people...I just figure it's still there from the night before? Now I feel like I should be putting on deodorant. I voted "sometimes" because if I feel like I need to re-apply or I'm going for a slightly later morning run with friends, I will re-apply also...
I voted yes because my routine is: wake up, have coffee, poop (coffee y'all), run, and then I go on with my day. Since I don't typically shower right after running, I definitely wear deodorant before!

How can you get away with not showing right after? I sweat a lot and can't wait to get it off of me!
If I'm just running by myself, no. If I was doing a 5K or something, then yes. But I answered "never" since I feel it most applies to your original question (assuming you mean a solo run).

I really don't sweat a ton, so even my clothing isn't usually too nasty. Once I cool off and catch my breath, I'm good. And I'm a SAHW, so it helps I'm not going to work and being around people. Then I'd shower for their sake probably.
Does this make me gross? Part of it is I don't sweat much, the other part is I hate wearing several outfits a day if I'm not doing anything too important. H and I manage to produce tons of laundry for 2 people as it is. lol

I don't always shower after my morning work outs. I usually just don't have the time. I shower the night before, smear on the deodorant and hope that's good enough. If I get unusually sweaty sometimes I'll take a damp wash cloth and soap for a quick rub down. Otherwise, it's dress, revamp my ponytail and out the door. No one has complained so far...

Nope, not gross! I sweat through my clothes and they would be all cold and wet if I did that. You are lucky, actually!
I am shocked by the number of people who don't put on deodorant. Shocked. lol I thought this was a no-brainer, and deodorant does not equal "primping."
I don't like the sticky feeling I get under my arms if I sweat without deodorant. It's not even a smell issue, or a working out with others issue...I just...I just don't understand why you wouldn't put on deodorant.
I can't stand the smell of myself without deodorant. It's bad. I am a sweaty, stinky, runner and while I don't smell like roses post run even with the deodorant, I still want every bit of help I can get.
I don't ever wear it either. I am very sensitive to smells so if I get a whiff of the perfumy deodorant smell when I am running it makes me very nauseous. Plus I can't stand the combo smell of stinky sweaty flowers. Ick.
OK. So DH and I both stayed home from work today. We hit the gym around 1:00 (had both been hanging in our pajamas all day) and as we were walking out the door I asked if he remembered to put on deodorant. He looked at me like I had twelve heads and said he never wears deodorant when he works out (which is 99% of the time first thing in the morning). We have been together for TWELVE YEARS and I never knew this. I thought he was lying. Then he thought I was lying when I said I always reapply deodorant right before working out. Every single time no matter what. I thought for sure that 100% of you guys would agree with me. I feel like a newbie finding out for the first time that people don't wear underwear. I am floored.
He insists that it is because he showers right after, and he doesn't like the way the soap feels when he tries to wash freshly deodorized armpits in the shower. The soap doesn't lather properly or something. Maybe I'm just a sweaty beast??

I rarely do. I sweat like it's my job. My armpits are only a teeny tiny part of me- why waste deodorant there? I'd need to cover my entire self with it to make a difference.

I always do if its the morning and I am going to the gym. I'm a sweaty beast and would feel bad for those around me. If I use the treadmill after work at home I won't reapply until after my workout.
