Hi ladies! I usually hang out on MM and MM moms but I'm stopping by with a question. We are in the very early stages of TTC#2. I have not started charting my temps yet. Since my pregnancy I have very noticeable changes in CM 1-2 days during each cycle. It's consistent with what I have read online about "fertile" CM or EWCM.
There's something I can't figure out from my searches so far. Do you know if EWCM indicates ovulation has already occurred, will occur that day, or will be occurring in the next 1-2 days?
Here's the scenario - I noticed EWCM on Thursday afternoon. We had sex most recently before that on Monday. Due to scheduling we were not able to have sex again until Friday evening. From what I understand that is very likely too late. Does that seem right? Thanks!
My personal experience, I noticed EWCM Thursday morning, had sex with DH that night and then again on Saturday morning and we got pregnant with DD. From charting I notice that EWCM will show up slightly before a temp change.

EWCM is the fertile mucus, as in sperm can survive in it for a while (up to 5 days). Ovulation is usually (but every woman is different) a day or so after the last day of fertile mucus. Having sex during EWCM days gives you the highest chance of a pregnancy, but it CAN still happen on other days (up to the day of ovulation itself).
