Ours has a lot of posts about suspicious people in the neighborhood. There are the occasional selling items and from time to time there is a home invasion posting.

I use it, infrequently. Crime reports/speculations/accusations, moldy garage junk for sale, and a few older folks having weird conversations. Nothing too controversial, mostly just gossipy stuff.
It's nice to keep up on happenings. But nothing like party planning or events happens. Especially news because a lot of it doesn't get reported.
We live in a big city with lots of apartments but some single family homes. It's hard to make neighborhood friends. I'm thinking of doing a outdoor BBQ for our apartment block in Spring as a way to finally meet some people. This is our 3rd year here. I miss living in a village.
I only went to Nextdoor because Everyblock was shutdown. Now it's back and I prefer that. Because it opens up a wider area.
