I love the cool racerbacks too. But I would also never, ever run in a tank with just the built I In bra (no sports bra). It makes me cringe to think of it!
I love LLL's CRBs. I have a ton of them and usually run in them through out the warmer months. Some of them get pretty slogged down with sweat though - I tried the Run Swiftly tanks but they rode up horribly on me.
Are you busty? I ask because if you are, you might want to go the sport's bra & tank route. My B cups can run in just about any tank they have, but I know that's not the case for a lot of people. I HATE the CRB tanks, but I know I'm in the minority. If you have a short torso, they won't work for you. They're definitely a top seller though. Anything in their medium support category with the thicker straps has decent support imo. I have one similar to the Push You Limits tank, and it's pretty great as far as support goes.
ETA: My favorite tank w/a sport's bra underneath is the swiftly.
I need some serious support for running - I have never been able to run in just a bra top tank. My favorite combo for running is Moving Comfort Juno bra and LLL Scoop Neck Tank.
I love the run swiftly tanks, but they don't have built in support. I agree with everyone else that you're much better off getting a well-fitting running bra than relying on a built-in one.
I like the swiftly for running because I sweat a lot and I like its wicking properties. I wear a regular bra and sports bra with it. I always double up my bras when I run because I haven't been able to find a perfect hybrid that does the job of both.
I like the cool racer backs. I'm a 32D (not huge) and can't fit into any of their support tanks. I just wear my own bra with the CRB.
Also, for the short torso ladies, LLL hems all of their clothes for free if the length is too much.
I've had them do this with other tanks, but it still doesn't work for the CRB. Maybe I'll give them another shot next time I'm there, but when I tried them on the first (& only) time, the proportions were all wrong. Like, it wasn't just the length, but the length of the straps, armholes, etc. Oh well. There are plenty of other things I spend an obscene amount of money on there. Lol
Their hemming is awesome, though. I purchased a practice daily tank that could have doubled as a mini dress, but now it's the perfect length!

Oh yeah I understand about the overall length. That makes sense.
