I'm ecstatic that my second half marathon is Sunday! It's the same race as last year, and pretty much the same course. I'm feeling pumped and ready, but I have a small dilemma. The high on Sunday is going to be 74, and all of my long training runs have been in colder weather. We seriously just had an ice storm last week, and now we have spring weather. I have never run over 6 miles in shorts, ever. I have some favorite shorts that I can wear, and a brand new stick of Body Glide, but I'm afraid to change what my body is accustomed to. I know if I wear my go to tights, even with a tank I'll be ridiculously hot. What would H&F do??
I'd put on all the body glide and wear shorts. That sounds way too hot for tights for me. Or you can buy compression shorts that hit above the knee in the same brand of your tights (still use body glide)?

Do you have any capri tights you can wear, that would be a little cooler than full length. Or you can get some that are bike shirt length to wear under your shorts if you are worried about chafing.

I would be in shorts for sure. Although I race in shorts for anything above 40 so I may not be the best judge. I think if it's going to be that much warmer than you're used to running in, anything else if going to feel hot.
