Ha. But seriously, of course you get whatever strippers the bride wants. What kind of sister is that? ;-)
That's really awesome about your state. I hope we get there.
I had my son's parent-teacher conference yesterday. He has had a lot of issues with shyness and anxiety in the past. The teacher said he's really coming out of his shell. She said yesterday she asked the kids who would get up in the middle of the circle and dance, and he was the only boy to dance! :-D
ETA: I have to add, reading that "walk down memory lane" thread was pretty awesome too. I can't believe how invested I had gotten in the thread about Knitty and her pajarmas.
I got great feedback on my performance from a VP who has been extremely critical of me over the past 2 years - so much so that I have thought many times that I should be looking for a new job. So, the super positive feedback was kinda groundbreaking for me.
Congrats chikastuff! I hope it was an amazing day!!!
I've been working a lot lately, and I can't describe how amazing it felt to come home, have dh making fajitas for dinner, and just have a evening to relax with my two favorites.
I got a pretty good night's sleep. I haven't been sleeping well lately. I also wound up oversleeping my alarm by 15 minutes but I made it to work at the normal time.
When DH came to bed last night (I had been asleep for a few hours already, as usual), he was being so so sweet to the baby. He had his hand on my stomach and was just telling her he loves her and that she is the apple of his eye.
I'm not sure if he was drunk or what, but it was so sweet.

My DS got his Hickman out yesterday (central line for receiving chemo and IVs). He is officially done with his chemo and is just a normal kid again. The surgeon came to talk to us after the removal and they put us in the same consult room where we found out about his cancer. It was so surreal getting the great news about the removeal going well and the offical end in the same room it felt like the world was going to end. I guess life really does come full circle
I went to see Les Mis at the performing arts center last night and it was amazing. I was with an awesome guy and I was wearing a dress that has been too small for several years but fits now.

I filmed a segment for a local tv station to talk about TTH. The reporter already sent her friend a Comfort Kit and made a donation...made an impact and it hasn't even aired yet
