My retirement accounts hit 1x my salary!
ETA: I had to P&R earlier, but I thought I should share more. I was way behind on my retirement 2 years ago when I found MM. I upped my 401k contributions by a lot and since it was too late for 1x salary by 30, I was shooting for 1x salary by 35. We've had a really rough year financially, with DH and I both being laid off, but when I got my new job, I decided to bite the bullet and contribute 10% (6% match that is not vested yet). Here I am, meeting my goal 2.5 years early!

My MIL took DD for the afternoon and DH is picking up DS from daycare and taking him to MIL's for dinner and won't be home with both kids til bedtime--I'm enjoying 7 hours of alone time

My baby, who usually wakes up 3, possibly 4 times, during the night only woke up once last night! Also, tonight my DH admitted the baby likes me more than him. DH is rarely one to admit one of our kids likes me more, and I'm smugly delighted about this admission.
Yesterday I wanted to yank my ute out of me because it hates me (really bad cramps) so H ran to the store and got me my favorite chocolates without being asked. I love him so much.
When DH came to bed last night (I had been asleep for a few hours already, as usual), he was being so so sweet to the baby. He had his hand on my stomach and was just telling her he loves her and that she is the apple of his eye.
I'm not sure if he was drunk or what, but it was so sweet.
Whoa. Catching up here because Proboards wasn't working on the work computer. Congratulations

H got his AA diploma in the mail. He finished classes last quarter but didn't want to go to the ceremony. It's taken him a long time to get it, but he has been taking classes between deployments and when he could. I am super proud. I know a lot of people here have much higher degrees, but this is a big deal for him. I made a big deal about taking a picture.
